it's all personal preference man.... but keep in mind- Vaughn and iTech... started in the goalie industy, and branched out...

all the others, specifically made hockey equipment, and slowly branched into goalie gear

ya, vaughn and itech are the most reliable in good goalie equipment. i owned velocity 1 pads from vaughn and now have itech's 11.8 x-factors. they are both very high quality pads. The pros are preferring the rbkk equipment, but thats only because the new premier line of equipment is amazing and isnt quite available yet in stores. the first line of reebok equipment isnt all that great. so if your looking for a solid brand vaughn would have to be best. itech isnt that far off. eagle on the other hand is good quality, but i wouldnt do it, its not as solid gear for the same price

I have the rbk 7k glove blocker and pads still breaking them in. They are really comfortable and nice.

hands down vaughn and rbk. the majority of younger kids use vaughns (velocities mainly) and the pros are using rbk more and more each day.

you are leaving out itech. since they came out with the prodigies and the x-factor's and now the x-wings, it has taken off. i see almost as many if not more itech pads in the nhl as vaughn. i can't wait to try the premier II rbk pads though, all the pros are using them. and btw (gonzaga) u said u work at a pro shop so can u tell me when the premier II's are coming out and what's the difference between them and the x-pulse's

nope cant tell you cus we dont sell much goalie equipment let alone itech. we have some rbk chest protectors and i think all that is left is a pair of tps summits. the rink i work at has a few junior teams and aaa club coming out of it so most of those kids come through us for custom pads. the ones with names and special sizes etc. ask any lhs, they should tell you = MORE MONEY!
