View Full Version : Problem with Hyper Pro Goalie Wheels (47mm)

I purchased a pair of Bauer goalie skates in March 2005. It came with the Hyper Pro Goalie Wheels on them. After a few games, the front 2 wheels on each skate had begun to "fall apart", with large chunks of those wheels missing.

I ordered some new wheels and put them on my skates this week. During my first game wearing them, the same thing happened. The front 2 wheels on each skate have chunks missing.

What's going on here? We are playing in an indoor roller skating rink. Are they falling apart, because I am putting too much torque on them when shifting my weight?

This seems crazy, that these wheels will not hold up. I don't even know if there are any other 47mm wheels out there to try for these Bauer skates.

Any suggestions.

This is very unusual.

How are your bearings? If the wheel is restricted from rolling, this can add stress to the wheel.

If you email me @ cory@inlinewarehouse.com, I can put in contact with the manufacturer.

I have also experienced the same thing, and had my local rink contact them and still have not heard back from hyper, now i am using an aggressive wheel from them and they work great on the sportscourt surface, i have tried the pirate and crossbar with mixed results in both.
