Whats the longest lasting glove/palm you guys have ever had without holes.
I got my eagles in the beggining of july and they got holes like last month and got really hard they are the X6s so i didnt expect much. Hope the XXs will last a little longer though

Its not only the material of the palm but how it is put togehter. Some gloves have a palm and thats it one piece of material while others like my mia's have a palm and the a reineforment layer where the butt end of the stick would fit in your palm. So its like2 solid layers.

That sucks i know, but thats what happens with perfomance palms like the micro nash on the Eagles and Bauer XXX. Thats why you see guys with cheaper gloves last longer because there palm is not a performance palm. A performance palm is for a better feel on the stick and thereore thinner then the cheaper gloves. I know make no sense. Thats why the gloves you got the XX's the plams are a little longer lasting then the XXX's because they are stronger but less performance. I once heard an average pro gos through 12 pairs of gloves a season. I wear Mias i sure dont have $2000 for gloves a year but they do.

well, NHLers have practice everyday, hard practices too, and they have morning skates, and 82 games....

You can get your palms re done. Buy a nice pair of gloves and once they wear our get new palms, they're a lot cheaper then getting new gloves every couple months. I went from a $20 pair of cheapo mission M1 gloves to the Bauer Vaper XXXs and they're amazing.

If you want to add a little life to your palms, use electrical tape on the end of the shaft, it won't tear up your palms like hockey friction tape does.

mission m1's arent cheapo. they were top of the line just a few years back and some NHLers still use them.

use a little talk it keeps your new gloves dry and stops them becoming hard from becoming wet and dry, every time you play hockey. also use candle was, or bee's wax on your taped butt end to reduce friction on gloves.

best glove palms i have ever had were branchies.

I just had some XXX repalmed w/ clarino palms. I now only use the tacki mac grips and there's no wear at all or tape balls in the palm on top of the stick glove.

Last year I bought Mission gloves, but don't remember what they were called. What helps with your palms, is to dry them after every game. They will last longer. Anyways, I love my gloves. They still don't have holes in them, and look great too.

I just got a pair of Mission M1's off some guy who worked for the Sharks. They were used by Scott Thorton last season. I don't know if he used them the whole season, but they're in pretty decent shape. Small hole in the right glove, but I'm a right handed shot. I'm actually contemplating whether I should use these gloves because they feel so damn durable. The guy mentioned something about Scott Hannan using them too, which means these gloves must have gone through hell and there still in playing condition. Anyways, I love the fact that they were used by Scott Thorton, but they would be worthless if I wasn't using them. I'm gonna try to prevent any wear in the left glove by switching to electrical tape and I always dry my gear.
