synergy skate vs. bauer xxx skate

Whatz so good about both of these skates? What are the prices?

I purchased both pares of skates the xxx and the synergies and if i were you i would go with the xxx because they are so comfy in my opinion

The Bauer XXX skates are poorly constructed and are a shady attempt to reissue a known bad product (Bauer XX).
Though I'm not sure which Synergy skates you mean, the Synergy 1300c's are great skates. The only real problem is that the blade holder is a little short during hard turns.
Both skates cost over $400 so if they cost around the same either way, I'd go with the synergies.

The XXX is the most expensive piece of junk I have seen in a long time. I was thinking about them until I read the history of quick breakdown and durability issues. I tried a pair on at the store last week, and the leather on the ankle started to stretch and bend as soon as I moved my ankles back and forth. What a waste of money.

I tried on a lot of skates and the most comfortable and stiff boot was the Synergy 1500c. Skated on them twice already with no break in....and I did not even bake them! I have noticed more spring in my takeoffs. They call it coil technology. I don't believe in gimics....but this might actually work. The weight is also amazing. They are as light as a pair of sneakers. Some people have said they "bottom out", but I have not had that happen and I make some pretty sharp turns.

I am thinking of also getting the Bauer Nike One90s for a comparison. I have not seen any reviews on the One90 for stiffness or durability. I may have to be a gunea pig this time!
