Default Playoffs on CNBC??

Just curious how the Stanley Cup playoffs ended up on CNBC. Dish network channel 208. Huh? Anyone know how that happened? Not complaining, but thought it was a screw-up on scheduling. This is usually a business channel with shows like Mad Money, American Greed, Cavuto, etc.

NBC is showing every single playoff game and they're using every channel they own.

Last night I got the Hawks-Coyotes on 452, the night before I got the Kings-Canucks on 442, all listed as Alt. channels. This is the way it should be, if you want to watch a play-off game, it is on. Great hockey!!! Survival of the fittest.

this is the first time in history that EVERY SINGLE playoff game will be televised, how amazing is this.

Such a beautiful concept.

Lucky buggers....
Until we get to the final, all we get in our country is a poxy 1 hour recap called NHL Tonight. They show only the goals and a couple of player interviews, very little else about the game and to add insult to injury they replay every goal about 10 times. So after you have seen the first 10 minutes of the show you may as well stop watching...... Useless.

Not directly, our only pay tv network gets the feed from nhl network. Other sports rule in our country and sadly ice hockey is rated a minor sport that gets poor tv coverage.

What country are you in? I'm in Arizona, United States.

If you have DIrect tv you're screwed and only have NHL Network because Direct TV dropped NBC Sports.

If you have COX, you're covered only thing missing is NHL network which plays no hockey at this point.

If you have AT&T U-Verse, you're covered but will not have NHL Network due to NHL Network asking for more money to broadcast their stuff and AT&T dropping them.
