ok, now the old man needs instructions. I can't find and lump or visable seam on the shaft. Will I be able to put this blade into another XX shaft?

sand the shaft down and see if you can find the use point. im really not sure if you can reuse the blade.

if you heat and pull and do not damage the blade hosel i see no reason why it cannot be reused

Interesting… I have a XXX and the blade snapped. I cut off the blade, but there's a plastic bead that's part of the inside shaft … can't put in a blade. It wouldn't be for ice, but only street hockey. It goes into the broken shaft corner now. Yes, I did heat the blade out of a fused dolo and put in a tapered Smyth. I actually like it better now.

If thats the case then shouldn't we sticky it? And also, I was just wondering how a blade stays in a shaft? I've never done it and I've always been curious to how the sucker doesn't just pop right out upon the first slapshot taken.

I wasn't going to sticky it simply due to the fact that it isn't THAT popular of a topic.....just that we don't need countless new threads covering what has already been covered. I can move/moderate the new ones that come up as needed. Thanks for the input.

We cut a broken blade off a SL intermediate and fit a new tapered one in . Works fine. Our problem was that Easton intermediate baldes are hard to find.

Thanks for the clean up. It's kind of funny, I spent 30 minutes looking for the other thread before I caught on. We got ourselves a smart one here.

Eastons are a pain in the butt. They are fused but good luck.
