If people are supposed to post all "what equipment should I get" questions in this thread only, what other new threads could be posted in this forum? Can't almost all of the new threads that people make here be considered somewhat of a "what equipment" question?

No, no.. you're missing my point.. I'm talking about the thread we are in right now (Official and ONLY "What other should I get" thread). I'm saying that most every thread that people start in this "Other" forum could be asked in the "Official and ONLY..." thread..

I noticed Spree moved someone's "what helmet has a low profile" question into here, which prompted me to ask my question.

I understand the purpose is to reduce duplicate threads, but it just seems that with the "official and only" idea, there are not many new threads that won't be moved into here.

To answer Da Killer.....my intention with this thread is specific questions about a single piece of equipment.....the more contemplative and comparison threads I would like to leave as stand alones.

Most of the models have a package that you can open and sort of hold it and get a feel. shops around have the no trying jocks policy though.

These would be a better option for what you are describing.

I wear the equivalent in Easton and they are great.

I'm looking for a helmet just for the heck of it. I was thinking about saving up some money for the new 9500 helmet but was wondering if the wider range of vision and somewhat better protection is worth about $200 (including the face mask) Has anybody used it? Is it really worth it?

I picked up the cage on its own at my LHS, and I picked up an Itech cage just to have an idea that it really is much lighter.

Initially MSH impressions is that the 9500 lid has great airflow on par with Mission's Intake.

I am looking to get a visor. But have any of you used a visor other than in clear? and would you recommend the color used?
