Overview
The Bauer Tuuk LightSpeed Edge Holder has been a staple for Bauer skates since its first introduction in 2013. Firstly, it sits 3mm taller in the front and rear post compared to the LightSpeed 2 Holder, which prevents the skate from bottoming out as quickly and therefore allows players to turn tighter than ever before.
The biggest feature is the quick-release runner system, a trigger located in the rear post. Once this trigger is fully compressed the runner will pop out in seconds and will be ready for a fresh pair of blades. This is ideal for the player who plays frequently on different ice hardnesses, allowing them to switch out different steel sharpened for different rinks. The other advantage is in case of an emergency where a runner is broken in a game, the player can quickly and easily swap out their blades right on the bench and never miss a shift.
