Super comfortable skatesThese skates are fantastic, especially after baking them. They hug my feet perfectly and I feel more in control with the added responsiveness of them. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great value budget skate. Super happy they have interchangeable blades too.
Seem to be a good valueVery good skate for the price point. My son moved up from youth to Jr. and as we all know the price also moves up. Son skated in Bauer Vapor 3x pro in youth but loves the True skate in JR. heat baked at home and you are good to go. Very stiff boot and hard to lace but the Skater loves them.
Great referee skateI am in old school Graf loyalist. I currently own 4 pairs of Grafs. 2 pairs for playing and 2 pairs for officiating with. I saw these TRUE Cat 5’s on sale and decided to buy a pair in sz 8W. . I’m still in the process of breaking them in. Except for a little lace bite, I find them very comfortable and light weight. They conform nicely to my feet and seem quite durable for my officiating needs. I give them n overall 4stars!

Perfect Skate for my kidIt is the second purchase after I bought the same skate for my kid.
My kid has loved this skate because he feels comfort, no harm to his feet, not like the skates of different makers. As he grows up, he needs more bigger one, and without any hesitation, I choose it. I think it is one of the best comfort skaters for kids.
PRO LEVEL SKATESI play competitively and at a shoe size 13-14 all I can buy are entry-level skates. I also prefer very flexible skates. Even at 11.5 wide (the largest size True makes for this model), they fit just perfectly while wearing thin socks. These skates are at a completely different level, most comfortable, sharp looking, fast and stable as the blade is just right at 3/4 cut.

CAT 5'sI would highly recommend these, best bang for your buck and are so comfortable never once have any foot pain or lace bite! I loved them so much that I bought my son a pair and he likes these better than the elite expensive skates.

Best budget skateAt my level of play rec/veteran hockey, I try to keep my price point around $300. These are hands down the best skates I ever had at that price. I didn't even feel the need to bake them. In fact, the person who sharpened my skates was so impressed with the blades that he bought a pair himself. I would rate these a 4.5 out of 5 if I could. My only issue was the plastic shell started to chip a bit at the seam between the patent leather bottom and the rest of the skate after taking a slapper to the foot. Either way, they are a definite upgrade to what I was skating on in the past.
Great skates so farI was looking for a set of skates to replace some worn-out Nexus skates and decided to try and take a chance on these as the Vapor and supreme fit threes didn't seem to be quite what I was looking for. Tried them on before baking and the fit seemed strange but I couldn't believe the difference after baking the skates. They're hands-down, the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. So far they have held up very well to 2 months of travel hockey. Worked so well that purchased another set for my brother, who wears a fit one supreme, and after baking they fit him just as well. Great skates.
Amazing Skate! Incredible Price!I will start off by saying that the True TF7 was the most comfortable and highest-performing skate I have ever used. The only very picky things I would have changed on the TF7 would be a little more flex in the boot, a flex tendon guard, an asymmetrical toe cop, and a little lighter. True read my mind and the CAT5 is amazing, at an even more incredible price! The only thing I liked better about the TF7 was the insole, which I swapped over to the CAT5. I might have gone up to the CAT7 if I did not already have the better insole, which comes with the CAT7/9. I also always use BladeTech steel, so I cannot comment on the new Shift Max steel, only that it is noticeably taller compared to the Shift steel that came on the TF7.
