Overview
The CCM HVR Hybrid Visor and Cage is the perfect blend of breathability, visibility, protection, and style. The HVR provides an unobstructed view with the high-end visor that's integrated with the flat carbon steel wires for incredible airflow. To top it off, the HVR visor is replaceable, so if it ever needs to be replaced, players can save money by not having to buy an entire setup.
Comparable to the VR Pro visor, the HVR boasts top-tier anti-fog, anti-glare, and scratch resistance. The dialed-in optical clarity means a player's vision isn't distorted due to the visor shape, which is a serious problem with entry-level visors on the market. CCM made sure to include a helmet bag to protect the visor when it's not in use.
The thin, flat cage wires were strategically placed to provide the very best unobstructed field of vision. Plus, the black chrome finish provides a modern, sleek look that mirrors some of the most popular cages in the game today.

However, the option to go smaller or larger may benefit the player who has a shorter or longer face shape. May also fit certified hockey helmets from other brands. |

Visual clarityNo fogging. Better than every other combo mask and I've tried all of them. I am also using the nano anti fog spray with this shield. But I have used it without it for 2 skates. Just didnt want to take any chances. Little bit of moisture gathered at bottom during those times. Great so far with nano. I've used mask about 20 skates so far. Definitely recommend this product.
Great hybrid cage/shieldI have been using this for a little over a month coming from using a cage and a full shield prior to the cage. So far, the vision is great. The cage portions are positioned to where I don’t notice them (or they just don’t bother my line of sight during gameplay). I haven’t noticed any significant fogging compared to wearing a full shield, and haven’t had to use any type of treatment on it. Only downside is that it is heavier than the cage I was using. Overall, really enjoy this cage/shield.

ExcellentFor someone who has worn a half visor for the last 30+ years, I was sceptical at first thinking there is no way to feel comfortable with a full shield on. Tried it on and was extremely impressed with how easy the transition was due to being so clear with no obstruction on any angle. I have recommended it to many.
High visibilityI've been using this hybrid visor-cage setup for a while now, and it’s a game-changer. First off, the visibility it provides is excellent. The visor portion is clear and gives an unobstructed view of the ice, helping me track the puck and players without any visual interference. I also love the combination of protection and airflow—something that a full cage alone doesn’t quite match.
Fit concerns, good otherwiseI like it so far, especially since I can change out the visor portion if needed. Fit seems off…I am looking through the top bars rather than the visor during faceoffs. Fogs up more than it should with it not being a fish bowl.
Good visorSo far so good! Doesn’t fog up as bad as ones I’ve had in the past. Can see out of it very well! Except for when looking down a little obstructed. Other than that, I would say it’s a great visor and I like it so far. Used it about five times so far.
